Meet Dr. Madera
Dr. Marcey Madera
I am passionate about providing quality orthodontic care that directly addresses the concerns and needs of my patient in a professional yet comforting environment. As an orthodontist, I have the opportunity to interact with people of all ages, backgrounds, and professions. I enjoy connecting with my patients and their families throughout the course of their treatment. It is exhilarating to be a witness to the change that each patient goes through, both physically and psychologically. There is nothing more fulfilling than when I see that my work has positively affected my patients’ overall well-being.
To me, the field of orthodontics means not only giving a patient a new smile, but also making a positive difference in their personality and confidence. I enjoy getting to know each patient and watching them grow and develop throughout their orthodontic treatment.
Education and Continuing Education
My interest in orthodontics started when I was quite young. I was captivated by the before-and-after models that were on display at my own dentist’s office. It was this intrigue that led me to the profession of orthodontics. I began my formal education at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown where I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. I continued on at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, earning my Doctorate of Dental Medicine as the salutatorian of my class. My orthodontic specialty training and Master of Science degree were also completed at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
Since graduating, I still find the educational aspect of my profession very exciting. I find it challenging to correct the alignment, malocclusion, and skeletal disharmony which are unique to each patient. In order to keep up with the most effective treatment options, I continue my education, not only as a requirement for my certification renewal but as an obligation to my patients to keep current within my field.

Outside the Office
Born and raised in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, I now live here with my husband, Michael, our two children, Seth and Ashley, and our cat, Maddie. My spare time is devoted to my family. I support my children’s interest; my daughter’s dancing and my son’s sports. We enjoy playing board games, fishing, traveling, and making lasting family memories.
